Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to meet his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday, when he arrives in the capital to attend the iftar hosted by the Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi.
This will be his fourth meeting with the Aam Aadmi Party supremo in last two months.
Bihar is scheduled to go for crucial assembly elections in couple of months time. Nitish Kumar’s meeting with Arvind Kejriwal, who’s reportedly made up his mind not to field any candidates in the coming elections, is being seen as very significant in that context.
The Bihar CM told reporters on Monday, ” Yes there is a possibility that when I go to Delhi today evening, I will meet him (Kejriwal).”
He also took a swipe at the BJP-led central government saying that it was creating unnecessary hurdles in the way of an elected government.
He said, “A democratically elected state Government in Delhi, voted on people’s aspirations, is not being allowed to work.”
There have been many other issues in the recent past when both these leaders have spoken in unison. After LK Advani’s controversial comment on the threat of emergency, Kumar was quick to agree with Kejriwal, who had praised the BJP patriarch for being ‘correct.’

Delhi’s political circle is abuzz with speculations that Kumar may request Kejriwal to either make formal appeal in his favour or even agree to hold a rally in Bihar closer to elections.
