Bihar topper who said political science taught cooking arrested

Bihar class 12 topper, whose appallingly poor knowledge about her subjects had prompted the authorities to inquiry has now been arrested.

The Special Task Force investigating the case arrested Ruby Rai on Saturday.

The board has already cancelled the results of two other two toppers.

17 year old Ruby had described her subject as prodigal (political) science adding that it taught about cooking.

Another topper, Saurbabh Shrestha, in science had struggled to answer elementary questions like the link between water and H20.

Science topper Saurbabh Shrestha, third topper Rahul Kumar and Vishun Roy college Principal Bachha Rai’s daughter Shalini Rai are the other three against whom the arrest warrant was issued, reported Indian Express. Baccha Rai is already in police custody.

A NDTV report said that Rai appeared before the expert committee constituted by the Bihar School Examination Board to answer questions. The panel cancelled her result after the review.

Till today, she had been evading summons by the panel and had failed to appear in a re-examination.

  1. Too 1oo students should be reexamined to know their real positions in bihar board exams. If we are only taking toppers and neglecting the remaining that is also injustice to real students
