Political circle in Tamil Nadu is abuzz with speculations over the proposed meeting of Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal and veteran actor, Kamal Haasan on Thursday.

A report by news agency ANI said that Kjeriwal was expected to meet the Tamil actor in Chennai on Thursday amidst reports that the latter will soon be launching his new political outfit.

Neither side has confirmed the reports of their meeting, but some sources said that Kejriwal will be in Tamil Nadu, where he may hold a closed door meeting with Kamal Haasan.

Haasan had met Kerala chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan earlier this month giving rise to speculation that he may join the CPI-M. Speaking to reporters he had made it abundantly clear that he was never going to join the BJP saying that saffron was not his colour of choice.

He had said, “I have been talking to Kerala CM (Pinarayi Vijayan) about it, taking advice, will meet more politicians before I make my call. My colour is obviously seen over the 40 years I have been working in cinema, definitely it’s not saffron. I want to be in the middle of things, not leaning to any side.”

Haasan had met Kejriwal in Delhi in 2015 to discuss ideas related to promotion of the film industry and easing the process of shooting in the capital.
