Kejriwal’s demands for Khadse’s ouster came on the day Maharashtra chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, met the BJP president, Amit Shah, reportedly to apprise the latter about his intention to sack him.
After a meeting with party chief Amit Shah in the wake of the raging controversy over Khadse, Fadnavis said that he had submitted a report to Shah and they discussed the matter.
He told reporters, “I have submitted a factual report on the matters which have come up recently. We have discussed them as well. The party will direct whatever appropriation has to be taken ahead.”
The allegations of Khadse being on Dawood’s most-dialled list were first amde by Aam Aadmi Party. Although, the minister had first denied the allegations but the subsequent revelations appeared to have sharply contradict his claims.
More recently, the BJP’s ally, Shiv Sena too went jugular demanding his resignation over the alleged impropriety in purchase of a land belonging to the government-owned MIDC in Pune at a throwaway price.
And if that was not enough, former AAP leader and activist, Anjali Damania, on Thursday launched a hunger strike demanding an inquiry into allegations of corruption against Khadse and sought his ouster from the state cabinet.
