Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday slammed Hindi news channel, Aaj Tak, accusing it of playing politics.
Kejriwal took to twitter to say, ” Aaj Tak ka ye tweet Amit Shah aur Ajay Maken keliye tha. Ranjeeti karni hai to khul ke maidan mein aao. Patrakarita ka mukhauta kyon? ( The tweet by Aaj Tak was meant for Amit Shah and Ajay Maken. Come out in open if you really want to play politics. Why hide behind the garb of journalism?”

Delhi chief minister’s attack came after a tweet by the channel sought to attack him for allegedly indulging in loose talks.
Its tweet said, ” Kejriwal bhule maryada, kaha bijli companiyon keliye danda tayyar.(Kejriwal throws decency out of window, says canes are ready for power companies.
Strangely, the channel’s twitter handle also tagged BJP President Amit Shah and Congress’ Delhi President, Ajay Maken, in the tweet.
Aaj Tak carried a video statement by Kejriwal, who warned discoms in the national capital to improve the power supply failing which strict actions will be taken.
His statement came amidst complaints of power cuts in some parts of Delhi.
In the video Kejriwal is seen speaking to reporters saying that blaming engineering faults by discoms for frequent power cuts was unacceptable.
He said, ” I’ve been inundated with complaints of frequent power cuts. Now a days that’s what I’ve been doing- answering calls from consumers all throughout the night. Everytime we ask power companies to improve the power supply, they blame engineering faults.”
At that point a reporter asked if government was ready to use ‘danda’ against power companies.
Kejriwal said, “danda is ready, in all shapes and sizes” implying different scales of punishment.
