Aam Aadmi Party’s flambouyant leader Kumar Vishwas celebrated his birthday on 10 February with a style.

Among the 500-plus guests, who turned up at a posh private party in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri on Wednesday night included some of the top names from Indian politics, entertainment and media.

They included the union minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, former UPA minister Kamal Nath, National Security advisor, Ajit Doval, industrialist Navin Jindal, BJP MP and singer Manoj Tiwari, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha and several other BJP leaders.

The suspended BJP MP, Kirti Azad, who’s currently launched a war against his party leader Arun Jaitley, could not make it but his wife was there to represent him.

Singer Malini Awasthi too was seen at the party.

Manoj Tiwari regaled the crowd in presence of Ajit Doval with his favourite numbers including his own rendition of Kumar Vishwas’ composition ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai.’

Tiwari was then joined by the birthday boy himself, who mesmerised the crowd with his first ever Pujabi track dedicated to Shahid Bhagat Singh.

While almost the entire Delhi cabinet and senior AAP leaders turned up, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was conspicuous by his absence.

Kejriwal was the chief guest at Vishwas’ birthday party last year, as the poet celebrated the event soon after the election results were announced on 10 February.

Many guests were seen asking questions behind Kejriwal’s absence with some linking it to the presence of top BJP leaders.

But Vishwas’ friends rubbished the conspiracies theories.

  • Day and night BJP and Cong thieves rain abuse and do everything from arrests and takeovers of various depts, conduct CBI raids and try everything in their power to uproot and destroy AAP …. and Kumar Vishwas finds only these people to invite to his birthday bash ?? Can anyone have worst judgement and taste than this ? Recently Vishwas started singing Mohan Bhagwats tune regarding reservations based on economic criteria.I wonder whether it was mere coincidence.Kumar Vishwas himself calls BJP and Cong as standing on black money and he calls the same scamsters to his birthday party ?? Sad.

My hunch is that this is the exact reason why Arvind skipped the bash. He is too straightforward for this kind of stuff. However I think this this is good because it is always good to talk to people and have good PR. Let Kumar handle this department for AAP.

AK and straightforwardness ???? It is a serious joke… AAP would be better off without AK…

Sab mile hue hai ji !!! Welcome to mainstream politics. AAP is now wallowing in the same filth it professed to clean up…

Now andh-bhakts will say, it was social gathering (by invitation only) The likes of Ashok Khemka, Sanjiv Chaturvedi or even brave soldiers will never be the guests of honor at some of these self-proclaimed nationalist person’s bashes…

    Enjoy the hypocrisy!

Kejriwal did well by skipping the bash of hypocrites who easily lie to their conscience, there has to be a line between the righteousness and falsehood, this shows Kumar’s seriousness to the cause. Kumar may soon compromise and leave kejriwal for good as it seems.

One has to be practical. In jungle u cant express animosity to beings around. Every thing has its plus and minus. We have to have a balanced cautious cordial approach building rapport with those co-existing. That is a sensible approach. Personal life is different from public or professional life.
