Weeks after her name featured in Panama Papers leak, Bollywood actor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Accordong to IANS, the former Miss World expressed gratitude to prime minister.
Speaking to ETV news channel, Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law said that what Modi had been doing for the country was not an easy job.
She also said that whatever Modi was doing was for the well being of the nation and its people.
Aishwarya was asked if she would like to start her political career from Uttar Pradesh. She said that she had her hands full as a mother, daughter, a good wife as well as a responsible citizen of the country.
A massive leak of 11.5 million tax documents had revealed the secret offshore dealings of several prominent people from around the world with as many as 500 Indians too being named in the leaks.
They included, among others, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Iqbal Mirchi and Adani elder brother.
Documents showed that Aishwarya, her father Kotedadi Ramana Rai Krishna Rai, mother Vrinda Krishna Raj Rai and brother Aditya Rai were appointed on May 14, 2005, as directors of Amic Partners Limited — with an initial authorised capital of $50,000.
