Airport Authority of India Chairman RK Srivastava removed before his tenure ended


Airport Authority of India Chairman RK Srivastava has been removed from the post by govt before his tenure ended.

According to reports, Arun Kumar (presently Joint Secretary in AAI) will be the new Chairman of Airport Authority of India.

Srivastava is a 1984-batch Jharkhand-cadre IAS officer.

Livemint reported that Srivastava will be sent back to his parent cadre, two people with knowledge of the subject said.

“He is being repatriated. This was in the works since Wednesday. We don’t know what was the issue why this decision was take,” he said.
