BBC has revealed its list of 100 inspirational and innovative women for 2017. Among those from India included Bollywood actor. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s mother, Mehroonisa Siddiqui.
The BBC news said, “Mehroonisa Siddiqui is 65 years old and is the proud mother of Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.” It carried a quote from the actor’s mother, “It is never too late to learn.”
The iconic British broadcaster said that this year, the women on the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.
These women are expected to come together and deliberate issues of glass ceiling, female illiteracy, street harassment and sexism in sport.

Nawazuddin, who made his Bollywood debut in a small role in Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh in 1999, has now become one of the most popular actors in the Indian film industry. He has also earned a special jury National Award in 2012.
His other films included Kahaani, Gangs of Wasseypur, Talaash, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Manjhi – The Mountain Man and Haraamkhor.
