Activists slam government for allowing Anar Patel and family, under ED investigation, to leave India

RTI activists in Ahmedabad have slammed the government for reportedly allowing the Gujarat chief minister, Anandiben Patel’s daughter, Anar Patel to leave India with her husband Jayesh Patel.

In a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reported MA certificate stating ‘Entire Political Science’ as his subject, senior journalist Dilip Patel wrote on his Facebook page, “Entire Anar patel and entire jayesh patel has moved to UK with entire CM PA Ashok Desai under entire pretext of meeting daughter after getting 3 entire notices of ED for money laundering and entire MHA refused to cancel their entire passports so one can entirely assume that their entire black money will be entirely adjusted?”

Shah had recently written to the Regional Passport Office in Ahmedabad to cancel their passports to ensure there was no repeat of situation similar to the liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya, who left for England after being investigated for money laundering.

Jantakareporter.com contacted the CM’s office, which said that Desai was on leave and had freedom to ‘travel anywhere he wished.’

“He’s on leave and, therefore, the chief minister’s office doesn’t monitor the movement of its staff while they are on leave,” said one official.
