AAP set to appoint Swati Maliwal as new Delhi Commission for Women chief

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to name Swati Maliwal as the next Delhi Commission for Women Chief. Maliwal is currently advisor (grievances) to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Maliwal is also the youngest member of the India Against Corruption movement along with being an RTI activist. She was a software engineer before she quit her job to take up social work.

She will be replacing Barkha Shukla as the DCW chief, with whom AAP has had a tense relationship in the recent past.

Maliwal is AAP party leader Naveen Jaihind’s wife and has been associated with Kejriwal’s work at ‘Parivartan’ since 2006.

  1. DIRTY POLITICS OF THE OPPOSITIONS AND THE SO CALLED REBELS :- Swati Maliwal is not a relative of Arvind ji as the opposition is saying ………..
As per the Constitution of AAP, the party won’t allow any relative of the same family to hold any portfolio in the party and won’t be given any ticket to fight the elections of MLA or MP. So Smt. Swati as the Delhi Commission for Women’s (DCW) chief is not violating the Party Constitution ………………………
Moreover Swati being a RTI Activist always fought for justice since she was attached with Parivartan, the NGO of Arvind ji. She faced Police lathicharge in IAC Movement. Swati surely is the the capable and well deserved candidate to be chairperson of DCW ………………
