Aam Aadmi Party MLAs on Wednesday attacked the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Najeb Jung, for refusing to meet a delegation of 12 MLAs.
AAP MLA, Somnath Bharti told reporters, “No the LG did not meet us. He was duty bound to meet us. We were frisked as if we were terrorists. 12 AAP MLAs tried to meet LG Najeeb Jung today, but he preferred going for lunch than meeting us. LG’s Secretary received our complaints and we were told that the LG will look into it. Later we saw him sitting in the next room.”
The MLAs were protesting against the alleged inaction on the FIRs filed by the AAP government in the past particularly during its 49-day tenure.
The delegation demanded LG to order filing of FIR against himself and the ACB chief MK Meena for allegedly ‘sitting on the FIR’ against Mukesh Ambani for two years.

On Tuesday, Kejriwal had launched a blistering attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi warning him that no amount of FIRs will deter him from criticising his policies.
His reactions came after the Anti Corruption Bureau filed an FIR against the Delhi chief minister in the water tanker scam.
“Narendra Modi wants to frighten me and break me. But, I would like to say today that the Honourable Narendra Damodardas Modi ji, do whatever you want, neither am I going to bend nor get frightened or even break.”
He said that he will continue to fight for the the rights of Dalits, farmers’ suicides and corruption cases.
Kejriwal said that he was the only politician standing resolute in front of Modi thereby causing frustration to him.
