Aam Aadmi Party has expelled its member Chandan Pratihast from the party a day after he posted the phone numbers of senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai and Aaj Tak’s anchor, Aanjana Om Kashyap on Facebook.

As reporter by www.jantakareporter.com, Pratihast, on his Facebook page, had claimed to be a district president of the party’s student wing CYSS.

The party had denied the existence of its students’ wing in Rajasthan.

On Monday, the AAP sent a message to its Rajasthan WhatsApp group reiterating that party had not launched its students’ wing in Rajasthan.

The message read, “Neither has the party authorised anyone to build an organisation for the CYSS in Rajasthan nor has anyone been given any responsibility. The party wants to focus on its main organisation right now. You are requested not to build any organisation claiming to be a representative of the CYSS.

“Anybody who is found to be in breach of party’s guidelines will face disciplinary action.”

The message further read, “We’ve learnt that someone called Chandan Pratihast has claimed to be a representative of the CYSS in Kota. This is wholly wrong. We’ve received few more serious complaints against Pratihast. He’s now being expelled from the party and you are requested to remove him from all WhatsApp groups related to AAP.”

Pratihast, while posting the journalists’ mobile numbers on his Facebook page, had written, “I’m posting the phone numbers of India Today and Aaj Tak journalists, Rajdeep Sardesai and Anjana Om Kashyap. Please ask them why they have not reached the house of Dr Narang (murdered Delhi dentist) even though it’s only few kms away from their office….If anyone has (NDTV India’s) Ravish Kumar’s number, then please provide. He needs to be taken to task.”

Meanwhile, Pratihast has now removed his post and issued apology on his Facebook page saying his account was hacked for 24 hours.
