AAP leaders denied access to Modi’s degree by DU, Arvind Kejriwal steps up attack on BJP leaders

Stepping up his attack on PrimeMinister Narendra Modi’s educational qualification controversy, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday taunted senior BJP leaders questioning the secrecy over ‘PM’s degree.’

He asked, “Jaitley ji n Amit Shah ji, after showing papers in PC, said- “जाओ अब जाकर (jao ab jaakar) DU मे देख लो।” Now VC refuses? What is so secret abt PM’s degree? (sic)”

BJP president Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had earlier this week claimed to have presented the evidence, which, according to them, would settle the doubts over Modi’s degrees.

Four Aam Aadmi Party leaders on Tuesday had visited the Delhi University to personally verify the documents related to PM Modi’s BA degree.

However, they were met with a huge presence of police personnel at the DU gate.

According to some reports the AAP delegation consisting of Sanjay Singh, Ashish Khetan, Ashutosh and Dilip Pandey were asked to visit the university on Wednesday. But, they were today reportedly denied access to Modi’s degrees once again.

On Tuesday, the DU Registrar had told a channel confirming the authenticity of Modi’s degrees presented by Shah and Jaitley. But the AAP, which has launched sustained campaign against Modi on his educational qualifications, had alleged that the Registrar made the statement under duress as administration of the university fell under the direct control of the central government via HRD ministry.

Since Shah and Jaitley presented Modi’s degrees in public domain, many anomalies have been highlighted by activists and people who completed their degrees during the same period or soon after Modi obtained his degrees.

Earlier this week, a former professor of Gujarat University had cast doubt over the reported subjects, stated in Modi’s certificate, being taught at the university.
