Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday said that it had not yet made up its mind if the newly elected councillors will accept their membership of the civic bodies in the wake of questions being raised on the authenticity of EVMs.
Answering a question from a journalist on ABP News post the announcement of MCD results, the AAP spokesperson Asutosh said, ” the decision on whether the candidates, who won in today’s elections should take oath of office, will be taken by the party.”
Elsewhere, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, too reiterated his party’s claim that the machines used in MCD polls were tampered with.

He told reporters, “If the difference was of few seats, we would have believed it. But such a huge mandate can’t be possible without EVM rigging. People who are lecturing us must remember that the BJP had raised the issue of EVM tampering. Their leaders even wrote a book on this.”
Sisodia also tweeted asking people not to mock their demand on EVMs adding that his party will not stop questioning the machines’ authenticity because of fear of public ridicule.
Meanwhile, AAP MP and comedian Bhagwant Mann attacked his party’s leadership for its stand on EVMs while blaming his leaders for the defeat in Punjab.
