Modi may visit mother of law student brutally murdered in Kerala


PM Modi may visit the mother of the law student who was raped and murdered in Perumbavoor, alongside his campaign stop in Thrippunithura which falls in the same district, reports Indian Express.

The 30-year-old woman, who was also a law student, was found lying in a pool of blood with at least 30 stab wounds in her body. The brutal manner in which she was killed has sparked comparisons to the December 16 gang-rape of 2012.

The brutal murder has sparked widespread outrage on the streets of Kerela and social media where people questioned the slow pace of investigation.

The issue was raised in the Rajya Sabha as well and Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot is also expected to visit the village later today.
