Arun Jaitley on Monday filed civil defamation case against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and four other AAP leaders. He’s also expected to file criminal case in against them Patiala House Court later today.
According to media reports, Jaitley has sought Rs 10 crore damages from AAP leaders for making “false” statements against him over alleged irregularities in DDCA
Jaitley, who is facing the heat for his alleged involvement in corruption and financial irregularities in DDCA, had on Sunday announced he will file civil and criminal defamation cases against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders.
Besides Kejriwal, other AAP leaders are Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha, Deepak Vajpayee.
Meanwhile, BJP MP, Kirti Azad, took to twitter to taunt Jaitley if he was filing defamation case against him too.
On Sunday, Azad’s Operation DDCA had exposed huge corruption in the cricket body during Jaitley’ said tenure as president.
He had revealed how Jaitley had allegedly forged documents to accommodate hundreds of proxy members and flouted financial rules by not maintaining account manual for DDCA despite being a Rs 28 crore worth company.
