30 more children die at Gorakhpur BRD Medical Hospital in 48 hours

At least 30 more children have died in the last 48 hours at Gorakhpur’s Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College Hospital.

The hospital had hit the headlines in August when nearly 300 children dies due to lack of oxygen supply.

Confirming the deaths, Prof Dr DK Srivastava, Head of Department of Community Medicine, told ANI, “15 infant were younger than one month. Six of the remaining 15, who were older than a month, passed away due to encephalitis. Others died due to various other reasons.”

Gorakhpur is the hometown of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In August Yogi’s heath minister had courted controversy by saying that children died in August.

    • Numbers don’ t matter…children are dying in the state since times immemorial..according to Yogi …! So, he is preparing for another festival lighting bonanza celebrations !!!.

  1. Since August, this hospital I city of CM & his constituency as well news children death coming in adapted. Is matter of shame such poor health services in UP now in shambles due to cut in budget on health & education by Yagi Aditya Nath CM of UP.
