15-year-old gangraped, murdered and tied to a tree in Uttar Pradesh


In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich disstrict, a body of a 15-year-old girl was found tied to a tree after she was gangraped and killed.

An NDTV report said that the victim had gone missing from her village on Friday.

According to the report, the family claimed that the girl was abducted from Nanpara, 160 kilometres from capital Lucknow, allegedly by three men of the same village who raped and killed her, and later tied her body from a tree to make it appear like a suicide.

The allegation of gangrape was confirmed by the Superintendent of Police Salik Ram Verma, who said that the post-mortem report too had confirmed the secual assault before the teenager being strangled.

Police have launched investigation and launched massive hunt for the three rapists. Four constables too have been suspended because of dereliction of duty.
