Day 2 of the Super – 10 round of the ICC World T20 witnessed two powerful performances from two mercurial player of the modern era. Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi powered his team to take sweet revenge on Bangladesh after their Asia Cup loss and Chris Gayle bulldozed England making a high scoring chase look like a walk in the park. 201 is Pakistan’s 2nd highest team score in T20I and highest in World T20. 203 is their highest team score in T20I, which incidentally is against Bangladesh, came in 2008 at Karachi.

This is a record 2nd wicket partnership for Pakistan in the ICC World T20 going past the previous record of 76 by Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed against New Zealand at Pallekele in the 2012 edition of ICC World T20.
1609 runs Mohammad Hfeez has scored in T20I. On the way to a breezy 64 runs in 42 balls Hefeez crossed the milestone of 1600 T20I runs and currently the 5th highest run scorer in T20I.
11 Man of the Match award for Shahid Afridi – who scored a blistering 49 off 19 balls and took 2 wickets, is the most number of Man of the Match awards in T20I by any player. Shahid Afridi with 95 wickets is the leading wicket taker in T20I and now 2nd in the list after Lasith Malinga in the list of leading wicket taker in the ICC World T20.
2 players have the unique distinction of having the double of 1000 runs and 50 wickets in T20I. On the way to a consoling 50 runs against Pakistan, Shakib Al Hasan reached the target of 1000 runs and joined Shahid Afridi as a member of the exclusive club.
England-West Indies T20I, Mumbai
4 matches West Indies has played against England in all edition of ICC World T20 and have won all of them. Out of 13 matches England has played against West Indies in T20I, England has just won 4.
2 hundreds by Chris Gayle in ICC World T20, making him the only player to have achieved the feat. Chris Gayle has the distinction of scoring the 1st hundred in T20I which coincidentally came in the inaugural match of the inaugural ICC World T20 in South Africa in 2007.
47 balls Chris Gayle took to notch up his 2nd T20I 100 at Wankhede Stadium. This is the 3rd joint fastest 100 in T20I and fastest in ICC World T20 breaking his own record.

98 sixes for Chris Gayle now is the most number of sixes in T20I by a player. He broke Brendon McCullum’s record of 91 sixes and now two short of hundred sixes.
