10cr as immediate relief for landslide-hit Arunachal Pradesh


Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs as the nodal minister of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has approved a total amount of Rs.10 crores as immediate relief for Arunachal Pradesh.

The sanction comes in at a time when Arunachal PWD Minister Gojen Gadi accompanied with Chief Engineer (highway) HageApa, OSD SE L D Thongdok, AE S N Tyagi called on Rijiju at his New Delhi office on Wednesday evening, and explained him about the massive landslides and damages to roads in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

According to news agency ANI, the team led by Rijiju was to call on MoRTH Minister Nitin Gadkari, who instructed Rijiju over telephone to approve the Rs.10 crore on his behalf as he was about to go on tour. This was also confirmed by Arunachal Pradesh PWD Minister Gojen Gadi.
