प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के समर्थकों ने रविवार (3 फरवरी) को बीजेपी और उनकी हिंदुत्व राजनीति के प्रति ट्विटर के कथित पूर्वाग्रह का विरोध करने के लिए दिल्ली में मौन मार्च निकाला। मार्च के लिए बीजेपी समर्थकों से आग्रह किया गया था कि वे मार्च से पहले ट्विटर मुख्यालय की ओर इक्टठा हों। हालांकि, एक बार फिर मोदी समर्थकों (जिन्हें सोशल मीडिया की भाषा में ‘भक्त’ के रूप में जाना जाता है) को अपने पाखंड के लिए सार्वजनिक रूप से उपहास का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
ट्विटर पर मोदी और बीजेपी समर्थक दक्षिणपंथी संगठनों के खिलाफ मीम्स और चुटकुलों की बाढ़ आ गई है। यूजर्स का आरोप है कि मोदी और बीजेपी समर्थकों द्वारा ट्विटर का विरोध करना एक पाखंड है। लोगों का आरोप है कि ये समर्थक अपने फायदे को ध्यान में रखते हुए समयानुसार किसी भी प्रोडक्ट या शख्स का बहिष्कार करते रहते हैं।
बता दें कि इससे पहले पिछले दिनों मोदी समर्थकों ने ट्विटर के सह-संस्थापक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) जैक डोरसे पर भी हमला बोला था। दरअसल, जैक डोरसे ने पिछले दिनों दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से मुलाकात की थी। इस दौरान दोनों के बीच सोशल मीडिया पर वैश्विक संवाद के महत्व पर बातचीत हुई थी। लेकिन जैक डोरसे को इस बात का कम ही एहसास होगा कि पीएम मोदी के साथ उनकी यह बैठक प्रधानमंत्री के समर्थकों को निराश कर देगी।
जैसे ही दोनों के इस मुलाकात की तस्वीरें सोशल मीडिया पर सामने आई पीएम मोदी के समर्थक भड़क गए और ट्विटर सीईओ को खरी खोटी सुनाने लगे। समर्थकों को जैक डोरसे के बैठने का अंदाज रास नहीं आया था। तस्वीरों में दिख रहा था कि जैक पीएम मोदी के सामने अपने पैर क्रॉस किए हुए हैं। उन्होंने अपने पैर के ऊपर अपना दूसरा पैर चढ़ाकर बैठे हुए थे। पीएम मोदी के समर्थकों ने इसे प्रधानमंत्री का अपमान बताया था।

दरअसल, यूथ फॉर सोशल मीडिया डेमोक्रेसी की तरफ से, जो कि मुख्य रूप से दक्षिणपंथी विचारों वाला संगठन है, रविवार को ट्विटर के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन करने का फैसला किया गया। संगठन द्वारा जारी की गई एक प्रेस रिलीज में कहा गया है, “पिछले कुछ महीनों से ट्विटर और फेसबुक व्यवस्थित रूप से ऐसे लोगों की वैचारिक स्वतंत्रता पर अंकुश लगाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं जो गैर-वामपंथी विचारधारा वाले सदस्यों के रुप में जाने जाते हैं। उनके हैंडल को निलंबित करके, उनकी पहुंच को प्रतिबंधित करने की कोशिश की जा रही है।”
