Zomato delivery boy leaves netizens mesmerised with his soulful singing

A video of a Zomato delivery boy in Assam giving a soulful rendition of yesteryear bollywood melodies has gone viral on social media platforms. The Zomato delivery boy in question has been identified as Pranjit Haloi, whose desire is to become a singer in the future.

The video was posted by a Facebook user, Anirban Chakraborty, who explained on Facebook how he came across this singing talent. Chakraborty wrote, “To my all friends, Presenting Pranjit Haloi ( Zomato delivery boy who delivered food today at my doorstep ). I saw in the app that ‘he wishes to become a singer someday.’ I planned and requested him to sing a song. he is so good that i made this video. I request everyone to watch and help to fulfill his dreams.”

In the viral video, Haloi is heard singing the song Gori Tera Gaon Bada Pyara from Bollywood oldie Chitchor, starring Amol Palekar, Zarina Wahab and Master Rajoo. The song was originally sung by KJ Yesudas.

No sooner did Chakraborty share the video on his Facebook, his timeline was flooded with praise for the budding singer.

One wrote, “He really has a great voice.” Another used requested Chakraborty to connect Haloi with some music producers. One Facebook user wrote, “You have an amazing voice my dear.” “Excellent… How can we help him???” asked another user.

The video has already been viewed close to half a million times on Facebook since being posted on Monday. Given his soulful voice and the video’s popularity, it’s only a matter of time before someone from the entertainment industry approaches him with a song music deal.
