The BJP has not yet announced its candidate for Bangalore rural parliamentary seat but the constituency has already become a topic of intense discussion on social media. That’s because speculations are rife that the saffron party may field model-actress Nisha Yogeshwara from here this time around.
The BJP has so far announced candidates for 21 out of Karnataka’s 28 seats. This also includes Bangalore North and Bangalore Central. While DV Sadananda Gowda has been fielded from Bengalore North, the saffron party has named PC Mohan its candidate from Bangalore Central, where he will seen locking horns with the Congress’ Rizwan Arshad.
A report by Deccan Herald said that the state unit of the BJP had recommended the name of former minister CP Yogeshwara from Bangalore Rural, he himself was reportedly keen for his daughter Nisha Yogeshwara to be fielded from here.
Born in 1990, Nisha, according to website dreshare.com, has acted in several Kannada films such as Amar, Face to Face, Deva and I Love You. However, other reports said that none of the films that she acted was ever released. She has also assisted her father in the campaign before including in the last year’s assembly polls. While the BJP’s central unit is yet to take a call on her candidature, the model-actress is dominating social media conversations with her photos and bio being fervently shared on WhatsApp too.
Even some of non-BJP voters are now seen asking why they should not vote for the saffron if Nisha is nominated to contest from Bangalore Rural. One user Sushil wrote on Twitter, “Name: Nisha Yogeshwar Profession: Actress in Bollywood (Mostly) Current Achievement: She is BJP’s MP Candidate from Banglore Rural in the coming general election 2019. आखिर क्यों मैं BJP को वोट न दूं? (Why should I not vote for BJP?)”
Another user Betalappa wrote, “Probable BJP candidate Nisha Yogeshwar from Bangalore rural, almost finalised but not announced since rumours that
@RahulGandhi may contest. Please raga please…..”
If indeed Nisha gets the ticket from Bangalore Rural, she will join the list of other entertainment stars such as Hema Malini, Babul Supriyo, Moon Moon Sen several other actresses fielded by the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
