A video of AAP MP Sanjay Singh calling Arnab Goswami an ‘RSS Pracharak’ during a conversation with a Republic TV representative has gone viral. In the viral video, shared by Singh on Twitter, the AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP is heard launching a tirade against Goswami accusing his TV channel of surrendering before the rape-accused Swami Chinmayanand, who’s been a three-term BJP MP and a junior home minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
The Republic TV representative in question had approached Singh for his reaction to a statement by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who recently said that one of the reasons for the long queues in government hospitals in the national capital was ‘that a lot of people from outside Delhi are coming into the city for treatment.’
Addressing the Republic TV representative, Sanjay Singh said, “What understanding does Arnab Goswami have with rapists? What understanding does Arnab Goswami have? Answer what I am asking you. Why do you guys lick the feet of rapists?”
The Republic TV representative kept repeating his question on Kejriwal’s announcement about people from outside Delhi receiving treatment in Delhi-based hospitals. But, Singh refused to commit to Republic TV representative’s question and keeps launching his tirade against Goswami.
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP continued, “I am asking a question here. Did you run the news on the rape allegations against three-term MP and former junior home minister of India? Why are you scared with rapists? Why is Arnab Goswami scared? A girl files a 14-page complaint against a rapist and you don’t feel ashamed. Should a girl receive justice or not.”
In the video, Singh asked the Republic TV person why his channel had not carried any news when Bihari workers were thrashed in Maharashtra. He accused Arnab Goswami of being a propagandist of the RSS ideology. The AAP leader says, “Where’s the Sangh Pracharak Arnab Goswami? Where’s BJP leader Arnab Goswami?”
Singh also accused Republic TV of being a sold-out channel adding that it was a propaganda platform the BJP. “You are a BJP channel. Why should I comment on a BJP channel?”
