What’s Shloka Mehta asking for? Fans wonder after new photos of Nita Ambani’s daughter-in-law with folded hands surface

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani invited almost the entire Bollywood earlier this month to mark the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi was special for Asia’s richest family since this was the first since that they had two back-to-back lavish weddings in the family. Isha Ambani had married Anand Piramal in December last year, while Akash Ambani tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Shloka Mehta in March this year.

After hosting a grand celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi at home on 2 September, the Ambanis also travelled to Lalbaugcha Raja, arguably the most famous destination for the celebration of a festival on Lord Ganesha. Mukesh Ambani was accompanied by sons Akash and Ananth and daughter-in-law Shloka and to be bahu Radhika Merchant. Also joining the family were Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. The Bachchans are believed to be very close to the Ambanis and have been an integral part of every key occasion marked by Mukesh and Nita Ambani in recent years.

However, no sooner did the photos of Ambanis praying before Lord Ganesha at Lalbaugcha Raja surfacefans began to take potshots at them with hilarious comments. As expected, while some found Shloka incredibly elegant, others could not resist the temptation to have a go at the Ambanis.

One wrote in Hindi, “Everyone is a beggar before God. But what more wealth do you guys want?” Another wrote sarcastically to suggest as if the Ambanis were asking God about his wish since they were so rich. He wrote, “Bhagwan kuch chahiye to humko bolna (God do let us know if you want anything).”

There were a few comments on Ananth’s physique with some suggesting that the Ambani heir was beginning to put on weight once again after having undergone a weight reduction programme. One user did not even spare Amitabh Bachchan by suggesting that his eyes were fixed on the sweets in the photo.
