Actor Esha Deol walked the ramp in the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week but her media interaction ended on an ugly note after the actor was stopped from answering reporters’ questions.
After walking the ramp for designer Sanjukta Dutta, Esha and her legendary mother Hema Malini took to stage for quick media interaction. Hema Malini, now a BJP MP, told reporters how she had loved being on the ramp with her daughter’s who is awaiting the release of her next film Cakewalk.
Showering praises on Sanjukta, Hema Malini said that she was wearing Assamese dress Mekhla Chadar in a bid to empower the local weavers, while Esha wore a bridal dress.
“And also we are here for the promotion of Cakewalk, in which Esha is performing after a little gap,” said the mother.
But no sooner had she handed over the mic to Esha to answer reporters’ questions, the fashion show’s anchor interrupted saying that this wasn’t the platform for media interaction while inviting the designer to speak to the media.
This left Esha visibly upset as she walked off the stage. Her mother Hema Malini too followed her quickly forcing the organisers run behind them to pacify the duo.
Earlier Esha had posted a photo of herself her mother with a caption, “”Walking the ramp with my most comfortable partner my mother Hema Malini for the awesome talented designer Sanjukta Dutta! Our best wishes to you.”
Esha, who last appeared in 2015’s Kill Them Young, hasn’t done any films. Her next short film is about chef Shilpa Sen, played by Esha, and her struggle in balancing her professional and personal lives.
