Throwback video: When Shloka Mehta gave competition to mother-in-law Nita Ambani by emulating dance moves of Karisma Kapoor

Shloka Mehta’s wedding with Akash Ambani, son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, was arguably the biggest Indian wedding extravaganza of the year. From Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar to Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, all were seen shaking a leg with Akash Ambani and Nita Ambani at the baraat. Bollywood singer Mika Singh was seen performing his popular track from Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba. While Mika sang, Shah Rukh Khan had dragged Akash to dance with them and the young Ambani did not disappoint. But, not many would know that Shloka too had performed to a popular track from Dil To Pagal Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor during her wedding. In the throwback dance video, Shloka could be seen shaking a leg at her own ladies’ sangeet ceremony to the Mujh Ko Hui Na Khabar track.

Shloka Mehta

Dressed in a powder pink and golden lehenga choli, Shloka Mehta could be seen delicately emulating the moves of Karisma Kapoor from the song Mujh Ko Hui Na Khabar from Dil To Pagal Hai.

With tambourine in hand, Shloka and her bridesmaids could be seen doing their best to match the beats of the popular dance number. (You can watch the performance below).

Shloka’s wedding had also seen mother-in-law Nita Ambani showcase her own dancing skills. An exponent of Bharatnatyam that she is, Nita Ambani had danced to a Lord Krishna Bhajan, Achyutam Keshawam at the celebrations. As expected, her performance had left the guests attending the wedding utterly mesmerised. Surely, Shloka Mehta couldn’t have expected a better gift from her saas.

This wasn’t the only time that Nita Ambani had performed a dance. She had danced to Albela Sajan Aayo Re at daughter Isha Ambani’s wedding that took place last year in December.

Both Shloka and Akash got married in March this year. Their wedding was attended by the who’s who of global politics, entertainment, sports and business.
