Rohit Sharma arrived in Australia on Wednesday to join the rest of his teammates, who are now taking on Australians in the Border-Gavaskar trophy comprising four pink-ball Test matches. Rohit shared an adorable photo of himself undergoing the mandatory quarantine after arriving in Australia.
Sharing his photo on Instagram, Rohit wrote, “Day one.” The run-machine from Mumbai is required to undergo a 14-day quarantine before joining the squad. His IPL team, Mumbai Indians, tweeted the photo saying, “Eyes The Hitman has landed in Australia.”
As expected, his fans reacted overwhelmingly:

India began their Test campaign on a not-so-impressive note on Thursday as they were left reeling for 233-6 at the end of the first day’s play. Rohit’s absence was greatly felt as Prithvi Shaw departed for zero. Aside from skipper Virat Kohli, no other batsman was able to complete a fifty.
The Indian cricket board had stunned cricket fans by dropping Rohit from the Australia-bound Indian squad even though the hitman from Mumbai had played a match-winning knock to lead Mumbai Indians to a record fifth IPL trophy in the UAE. The BCCI recently said in a statement that ‘Mr Rohit Sharma has completed his rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is now clinically fit.’
Cricket fans had questioned the BCCI’s decision on Rohit’s fitness given his impressive showing in the IPL. But the statement by the BCCI recently said that the charismatic batsman has been ‘rehabilitating and training at NCA since 19th November following a high-grade left hamstring injury suffered during the Indian Premier League (IPL).’
“He has been given a detailed programme to follow for the duration of the two weeks he will be quarantined for. He will be reassessed by the Team India medical team post his quarantine to establish his fitness status and a call on his participation in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be taken accordingly,” the statement by the BCCI said.
