It seems there’s no end to comedian and actor Kapil Sharma’s continuing woes. After being jolted by the sudden departure and boycott of fellow actors such as Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra, now the the comedian has had to deal with another blow.

The show’s key face, Navjot Singh Sidhu, reportedly did not turn up for the shoot on Friday.

According to SpotboyE, Sharma was scheduled to record the show involving actor Sonakshi Sinha and Arman Malik. But Malik pulled out of the show at the last minute with reasons not known to anyone.

Then, everyone learnt that even Sidhu, who’s been an integral part of the show since its launch, too has bowed out of the programme. Once again the reason is not known to many or, at least, makers of the programme is not willing to spell out the details in public.

Sources say that Sidhu hasn’t been pleased with the continuous slump in the show’s popularity after Sunil Grover walked out of Sony TV’s programme.

Other reports said that Sidhu’s new role as a cabinet minister in Punjab government in taking its toll on him. That’s because Sharma has gone on the overdrive in recording as many programmes as possible to ensure that he can spend time on his next film, Firangi’s shooting.

Last week it was reported that Sony had decided to ditch Sharma for rival Sunil Grover.

64% respondents had told Janta Ka Reporter that they will not watch Kapil Sharma Show without Grover being a part of it.

Sharma has had to face a massive revolt of sorts after he allegedly abused and physically assaulted Grover during a flight journey from Australia.

This had prompted Grover to quit the show forcing Sharma to issue a public apology.

Grover had later posted a gut-wrenching letter asking Sharma not to behave like God. Soon, he received support from other actors including Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar, both of whom refused to take part in Sony TV’s popular show.

There are reports that Sony is not keen to renew the Rs 107 crore contract with Sharma. Meanwhile, Colors is reportedly in conversation with Grover to launch a rival comedy show against Sharma.

Although, a section of media on Monday reported that Grover was back in the show, the latter’s social media post later appeared to contradict the story.

He, however, returned to Sony TV to shoot a special act while playing the character of Dr Mashoor Gulati, it was for another reality show, Indian Idol. Even though, Sharma was shooting barely few meters away in the Film City, he made no efforts to reach out to Grover.
