Shahid Kapoor has made a huge revelation on domestic help employed by him amidst reports suggesting his wife Mira Rajput had ‘stolen’ Taimur Ali Khan’s nanny for the couple’s son Zain Kapoor. Shahid was on The Kapil Sharma Show where he was asked about his relationship with his maids at home.
Host Kapil Sharma drew his attention towards a scene in Shahid’s latest blockbuster Kabir Singh, in which he is seen chasing his maid after she drops a glass in the kitchen. Kapil informs him that it’s easy to get a wife these days but getting good maids is becoming increasingly difficult. “These days, maids also only agree to work in homes where wives are already there,” Kapil continues.
In his reply, Shahid revealed that he did not have to encounter any difficulties in looking for decent maids since his wife Mira brought a number of domestic helps from Delhi when the couple got married. He said, “No sir, my wife (Mira) had brought an army of maids from her house. She even brought nannies for the children (from Delhi).”
The video was uploaded by Kapil Sharma on his YouTube channel as part of his show’s ‘uncensored footage.’ The video has already clocked more than 11 million views on YouTube within a week.
Shahid’s comments assume significance in light of the last month’s controversy over Mira allegedly stealing Kareena Kapoor Khan’s nanny for her own son, Zain Kapoor, who was born last year. The Internet had exploded in May after several media reports claimed that the Kabir Singh star had stolen his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan’s nanny for his son Zain Kapoor. This was after a celebrity photographer Manav Manglani shared a video of Shahid leaving for Singapore with his wife Mira Rajput and children Misha Kapoor and Zain.
In the video, a nanny was seen following the celebrity couple from a distance. The nanny seen in the video was widely described as Savitri, the nanny of Taimur Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena.
Hopefully, Shahid’s latest comments will put an end to the controversy. Meanwhile, Shahid’s Kabir Singh has continued its dream run at the box office by surpassing Rs 100 crore of business.
