Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput were the true showstoppers when they walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week.
They attended their friend and designer Masaba Gupta’s show at the ongoing fashion event.
Shahid looked dapper in a black suit with a casual black buttoned-down shirt, while wife Mira was stood out wearing avant garde outfit by Masaba, who had even attended their closely guarded wedding recently.
They sat on the front row and Mira clearly appeared conscious on not getting clicked by photographers. Accompanying them were Masaba’s partner Madhu Mantena, and actress Mandira Bedi. Actress Dia Mirza was spotted too.
Some of the highlights of the show were long tubes, one-shoulder flared tiny tops teamed with soft easy cropped pants, relaxed deconstructed coat and asymmetric shirts that gave the collection an easy vibe. While Shahid and Mira definitely grabbed several eyeballs with their presence at the event, the showstopper for this complete ladies collection was Sooraj Pancholi, who will make his Bollywood debut with “Hero”.
Masaba said that she chose Sooraj to showcase her menswear piece as “my showstoppers are always fresh and young”. “I like people who symbolise Gen-Next and that’s what Sooraj does. I just think I wanted to have someone who has great energy and symbolises dynamism,” she said.
