Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath maintained its steady growth at the box office the film collected nearly Rs 30 crore in just the Indian market within the first three days of its release. The film, which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, had a decent weekend as it made Rs 10.75 crore on Sunday alone.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “Kedarnath has a good weekend, witnessing substantial growth on Day 2 [34.48%], but limited growth on Day 3 [10.26%]… Sustaining well from Mon to Thu is pivotal… Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 10.75 cr. Total: ₹ 27.75 cr. India biz.”

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film hit cinemas on Friday and has been increasing its revenue since then. However, as Adarsh pointed out, the real challenge for the film will be to maintain its performance during the weekdays.
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan, painted Instagram blue as she posted her photo in a hot outfit, evoking overwhelming responses from her fans. While some described her photo ‘out of the world,’ others largely commented on her performance in Kedarnath. Many fans felt that her performance was showed that she was ‘much better than’ Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of late Sridevi, who made her Bollywood debut this year with Dhadak.
Sara’s second Bollywood film Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh is expected to release on 28 December. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced under the banners of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
