Salman Khan hit-and-run case: Court adjourns hearing on Salman’s appeal against conviction

The Bombay High court today adjourned an appeal filed by Salman Khan till July,1 against his conviction in the hit-and-run case.

The actor was earlier instructed to deposit a security deposit of two lacs before leaving the country for a show. Salman had initially been given a clean chit as the Bombay High court stayed his five-year conviction.

A criminal court had earlier held him guilty of culpable homicide on the charges that he, in a state of intoxication, run over people sleeping on the pavements in 2002.

Khan, however has maintained his denial that he was behind the wheel, contradicting the testimony of several witnesses. The actor’s driver had in March admitted that he was the driver responsible for the accident.
