Shilpa Shinde, the TV actor, who shot to fame with her one liner ‘Sahi Pakde Hain’ has found herself placed in a huge controversy after she unceremoniously exited the show.
The social media was abuzz with all sorts of rumours on the possible reason of her absence from the show for last few days.
It emerged that Shinde had quit the hugely successful show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain allegedly to join the Kapil Sharma’s programme, scheduled to be launched on Sony TV soon.
The makers of the &TV show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, had approached the Cine and TV Artists’ Association, which summoned her to appear before the body.
But, Shinde didn’t turn up at the date angering the members of the CINTAA, which is now mulling legal action against her.
Shinde, for her part, alleged that she was being mistreated on the sets, while the producer Binaifer Kohli claimed that the actor was unprofessional and often arrived late for the shoots.
Amit Behl who is the Joint Secretary of the association and also the Chairman of the dispute committee told IndianExpress.com, “It has reached a point where the artist (Shilpa Shinde) is not able to understand and she has gone and said that CINTAA is a producers’ body and not an actors body. I have received a call from Channel Head also. Now this show is the channel’s driver. Unfortunately, she is breaking the contract. She spoke to me also and instead of speaking logic she started crying over the phone.”
CINTAA has warned that if Shinde failed to turn up on Wednesday (today), not only will she have to face legal consequences but she will also not be allowed to work on any channels including Sony TV.
