Row over Alia Bhatt escalates as Randeep Hooda calls Kangana Ranaut ‘occasional actor’

The row involving Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt has escalated further after actor Randeep Hooda threw his weight behind the Gully Boy actress. Applauding Alia’s patience amidst extreme provocations from Kangana, Randeep had said that the former was doing the right thing by not letting ‘the opinions of very occasional actors.’

He wrote, “Dearest @aliaa08 I’m so glad you are not letting the opinions of very occasional actors and chronic victims affect you and your work .. kudos to you for your continued efforts to outdo yourself.”

Alia posted a series of hugging emoticons in response to Randeep’s tweet and wrote, “Randy.”

Randeep extending support to Alia did not go down well with Kangana’s sister, who launched personal attacks against the former and called him the sycophant of Karan Johar. Calling him a ‘permanent failure,’ Kangana’s sister wrote, “At least Alia Bhatt is successful because of sycophancy, but brother you are a permanent failure.”

In another tweet, she wrote, “The nepotism gang does not have guts to save Alia baby, so they they made you do that. I know how you harassed Kangana during the shooting of Ungli and how big a sycophant you are of Karan Johar.”

Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan on Monday had launched a tirade against Kangana Ranaut for her constant diatribe towards both the mother-daughter duo. Razdan implied that Kangana was a thankless soul, who had chosen to target her and Alia despite Mahesh Bhatt giving her a break in the Hindi film industry.

Razdan, however, soon deleted her tweet after Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chahel said that it was Anurag Basu and not Mahesh Bhatt, who had given Kangana her first break in Bollywood. She wrote, “Dear Soni ji, Mahesh Bhatt never gave her a break, Anurag Basu did, Mahesh Bhatt ji works as a creative director in his brothers production house.”

Kangana has attacked Alia on a number of occasions recently. Kangana had questioned Alia’s silence on issues related to politics and society. Responding to Kangana’s criticism , Alia had recently said, “Listen I definitely don’t have that ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does. And I really really respect her for that. And May be in a way she is right that some time we do hold back because we don’t want or we may feel that why speak unnecessarily. My Dad always says that there are already so many opinions in the world. The world can do with one less opinion. I have an opinion but I will keep it to myself. But, kudos to her because she genuinely speaks really well.”
