An elated Khanna took to Twitter to express his excitement. He wrote, “When the world gives @Neenagupta001 ji a standing applause, my heart starts dancing. I still need to pinch myself to realize that I created THE LAST COLOR with India’s one of the greatest actress.”

Neena too took to Instagram to share the news.

The film has been written by Khanna, who had unveiled the film’s teaser at the Cannes Film Festival last year. The film was premiered at the Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival.

The movie revolves around a friendship between a young tight-rope walker and a widow named Noor in Vrindavan. They have a desire to play with colours during the Hindu festival of Holi. It raises important issues around women empowerment, girl child education and their right to live with dignity.
