The murder of a 20-something Mumbai model, Mansii Dixit, by a teenager student in Mumbai has left everyone stunned. The Mumbai Police have arrested the 19-year-old Muzammil Syed, a native of Hyderabad, for her murder.
While the police say that they are still trying to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder, several reports said that Syed and the deceased had an argument over Rs 2,500 before the former killed Mansii in a fit of rage.
Sangramsingh Nishandar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, zone 11, told Mumbai Mirror, ”
“The dead woman has been identified as Mansii Dixit, a model. We have arrested her friend Syed who was with her on Monday. During a heated argument , he killed her in a fit of rage. Sayed hit Dixit with a sharp object. She succumbed to head injuries.
“Syed then stuffed her body in a suitcase and dumped it on a road in Malad. We have arrested him for murder, and our probing to ascertain the exact motive behind the argument.”
Mansii, an aspiring actress and also a partner in an event management company was quite active on social media. A fitness freak, she often posted video of her exercise routine on social media. In one of her Facebook post, she had posted a couple of photos her grueling fitness routine with a caption, “Train insane or remain the same.”
She was more active on Instagram, where Mansii had amassed 22,000 followers. Her posts were often related to her photo shoots. In August this year, one of her posts had read, “At this age, everything is changing. Day by day we don’t notice, but just look back over the past year and you will realize everything has. People who thought were going to be there forever aren’t, and people you never imagined you’d be speaking to are now some of your closest friends. Life makes little sense, and the more we grow, the less sense it will make. So make the most of it now, before it all changes once again, bcoz in the near future, all of this is only going to be memories.”
Last month, in one of Instagram posts, Mansii had written, “I leave marks in people lives when I am gone. Good or bad, you’ll remember me.”
However, it was her last Instagram post that many are finding quite eerie. Holding a camera in her hand, Mansii had written, “Lord… Give me patience, because if you give me strength I’m going to kill someone with it!.”
That was on 4 October this month. Less than two weeks later, she was murdered by someone who the police say was her friend. Such a tragic end of a beautiful life.
