Actress-turned-politician Vijayashanti Srinivas on Saturday launched a scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi as terrorist, who was scaring people.
Speaking at a public gathering in Telangana’s Shamshabad with Congress President Rahul Gandhi seated on the stage, Vijayashanti said that everyone was scared fearing that Modi may ‘shoot the bomb’ any moment. In an emotionally charged speech, she said, “He looks like a terrorist. Instead of loving people, he is scaring people. It’s not the way how a PM should be.”
Gandhi was seated at the stage when Vijayashanti slammed Modi by calling him a terrorist, but he did not appear to understand her speech since she was speaking in Telugu language.
Gandhi, for his part, accused Modi of creating ‘two Indias’ one for rich and the other for poor. “For the last 5 years, he (Modi) is busy creating two Indias – one India that belongs to rich, Anil Ambani, who travel private jets and they get what they want. They (wealthy people) want bank loans and they are given that. But when they want their loans to be waived off, Narendra Modi obliges them by waiving off a loan of Rs 2.5 lakh crore without much fuss….While in second India, farmers beg with folded hands for loan waiver while (Finance Minister) Arun Jaitley says that there is no policy of waving their loans,” he was quoted by news agency ANI.
Gandhi alleged that Modi only worked for 15 people and often lied to India’s youth with false promises on jobs. He alleged that Modi had snatched people’s money from ordinary people and gifted them to Nirav Modi.
His comments came on the day a London newspaper tracked down Nirav Modi, who was seen roaming freely in the British capital. Nirav Modi is believed to have purchased an apartment worth 8 million pounds and has started a new diamond business under a new name.
