Singer Varsha Singh Dhanoa has accused music director Toshi Sabri and singer Kailash Kher of sexually harassing her in the past on separate occasions.
Speaking about Toshi, Varsha said that Toshi had molested her in an inebriated condition when he called her to his studio to record a song. “We were in his car & I asked him (Music Director Toshi) when are we going to record. He told me that we’ll go upstairs shortly & then record. He pulled out a bottle & started to drink in the car. He touched my thighs, I told him it’s totally incorrect,” she told news agency ANI.
Denying her allegations, Toshi told Pinkvilla website, “The allegations are baseless and there is no truth to it.” But defending her allegations, Varsha said that Toshi had promised her to never repeat his indecent behaviour. However, he allegedly broke his promise as soon as both of them were inside the studio.
“We went upstairs and I found that we were alone. He then said that he wants to make love to me and forced me a lot. I told him I am engaged. But now he is saying that all my allegations are baseless,” she was quoted as saying.
About Kailsah Kher, Varsha said that she was star struck when she first met the popular singer during a Super Fight League performance in Dubai in 2015. The two even exchanged numbers. Kher, according to her, later asked her to meet him when she was having a jamming party in Mumbai.
She said, “He literally sent me a text saying, ‘Mujhe aapko pyaar karna hai (I have to make love with you).’
She also took to YouTube to narrate her MeToo story.
Kher was also accused by singer Sona Mohapatra of sexually harassing her in the past. She had written, “I met Kailash for coffee in Prithvi Café to discuss a forthcoming concert where both our bands were playing & after the usual, a hand on my thigh with lines likes, your so beautiful, feel so good that a ‘musician got you’ (Ram) not an actor. I left not soon after.”
