Days ahead of the release of Bharat, the film’s lead star Katrina Kaif has stoked a fresh controversy by commenting on Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘very, very short shorts.’ What added fuel to fire was Sonam Kapoor’s reaction, fiercely defending her cousin on social media.
Katrina reportedly made the comments about Janhvi Kapoor’s attire while speaking to Neha Dhupia on her chat show BFFs With Vogue.
A report by DNA website had said that Neha asked Katrina to name a celebrity who goes over-the-top with his\her gym and workout looks. To which Katrina had said, “Not OTT, but I am concerned about the very, very short shorts that Jahnvi wears! She comes to my gym as well, so we, often are together in the gym. I just worry about her sometimes.”
Janhvi is often spotted by Mumbai’s paparazzi in tank tops and shorts while stepping out of her fitness classes. But she is not the only young actress seen to be flaunting her toned physique in short gym attire. Sara Ali Khan too has been spotted on innumerable occasions in similar outfits.
While Janhvi has not reacted to Katrina’s comments about her dress, the Dhadak actor’s cousin and popular Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor, took to Instagram to defend her sister without naming Katrina. Her Insta story had photos of Janhvi in short shorts as the caption read, “She also wears regular clothes and rocks it..”
Katrina’s big project Bharat opposite Salman Khan is set to release on 5 June coinciding Eid. Salman had recently taken to social media to announce that the advance bookings for the film was now open. He wrote, “#Bharat arrives to a cinema near you on the 5th of June but the wait for tickets is finally over! Secure your favourite seats right away.”
