IAS topper and proud Kashmiri bahu Tina Dabi Khan resurfaced on social media after a brief lull to flaunt her Kalamkari skills. And her fans simply loved her new talent.
Taking to Instagram, Tina, who’s now posted as an SDM in Rajasthan, informed how spent her weekend replicating the famous ancient art of Kalamkari. Sharing her selfie and photo of her creative work she wrote, “Spent the weekend trying to replicate ‘Tree of Life’ in Kalamkari. The vibrant art belongs to Andhra and Telangana.”
Her IAS topper husband Athar Aamir Khan was so proud of his wife’s talent that not only did he decide to showcase it in his Insta story (see below), but also shared it as part of his social media post on the photo-sharing platform.
Tina’s fans were quick to accord the young IAS officer with a new title of ‘beauty with brain.’ One fan from Pakistan wrote, “You are the role model for our Pakistani civil services aspirants. More power to you Mam.” Another commented, “Kalamkari painting is one of the most heritage of our diverse and rich Ganga-jamuni art culture. (sic)” “Mam ….. U r a perfect example of beauty with brain,” commented another.
Tina had topped the IAS exams by securing the number one ranking across India in 2016. Athar had secured the All India second ranking in the same year. The duo had later fallen in love with each other before getting married in a lavish ceremony last year. Their wedding reception was attended by several high-profile politicians including Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu.
Tina had later added Khan in her surname after proudly declaring herself as a Kashmiri bahu (daughter-in-law). Athar hails from Jammu and Kashmir. Both are now posted in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara as SDM level officers. Their love life has often become a topic of cute conversations on social media.
