The JNU faculty has strongly contradicted controversial actor Anupam Kher’s claims that the university had refused to screen his film.
Professor of film studies at JNU, Ira Bhaskar, told ANI, “I had said we can consider it in the next semester.Don’t know why Mr. Kher is saying all this.”
Kher, a strong BJP supporter, had attacked the JNU for allegedly refusing to screen his movie Buddha Stuck In A Traffic Jam.
He had said, “Why are only certain people allowed to exercise their freedom of expression at JNU? They should practice what they are preaching. If they’re talking about freedom of speech and expression, then they should follow it also.”
