BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has said that he was awake until 4.30 am in the morning until the Indian Air Force pilots safely returned from the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. He said that he was in tears because he was worried over the safety of the Indian pilots.
Speaking to ABP News, the BJP’s Delhi unit president said that people were constantly asking him why he was still awake until 4.30 am since his fans could track his movement by monitoring his WhatsApp account. Tiwari said that he had not been able to sleep since the Pulwama attack that killed 45 CRPF soldiers.
“I was awake until 4.30 am even though some people tracked on WhatsApp and asked why I was awake. I was awake because something was happening that this country was waiting for.”
When he was asked to confirm if he was aware of Tuesday’s attack, Tiwari said, “Sir, I have not been able to sleep since Pulwama attack. When I sensed (about surgical strikes) in the night, I had tears in my eyes because it was important for our soldiers to return back even though they entered Pakistan in fighter planes. And this is the moment, when I also salute Narendra Modi.
Tiwari’s statement implied that he was aware of the Indian Air Force’s surgical strikes into the Pakistani territory. He said that he wanted to shout ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogans loudly.
The Indian Air Force jets on Tuesday had carried out unprecedented air strikes on terror camps across the Line of Control in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. According to reports, as many as 12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across the LOC at around 3 am on Tuesday, completely destroying it.
Pakistan has denied the Indian claims adding that its Air Force was able to thwart the Indian operations. Congress President Rahul Gandhi too had tweeted congratulating the Indian Air Force.
