Ghulam Ali to perform in Lucknow this month


Renowned Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, who on Wednesday announced he was cancelling all his scheduled concerts in India, will after perform in India.

Ghulam Ali said he would perform at the Lucknow Mahotsava this month, Lucknow district magistrate Raj Shekhar told IANS.

Shekhar said that the organising committee members of Lucknow Mahotsava contacted the singer’s programme coordinators and they confirmed that while other concerts were off, the event in Lucknow was very much on.

“We have confirmation that in Lucknow, Ghulam Ali will be coming to perform,” Shekhar said.

Ghulam Ali was in Lucknow last month and met Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Yadav told the singer, in the city for a concert, that he was of the view that politics should not be mixed with music and culture.

  1. I think we should not have any kind of relationship with Pakistan unless they tame their attitude towards India and stop exporting terrorism. Pakistanis themselves are suffering from terrorism, so they should come to an awakening and force their leaders to make the environment better for themselves.
