Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has become the latest victim of the prevalent negativity on the microblogging site Twitter as the Veere Di Wedding actor announced she was taking a break from the social media platform.
Taking to Twitter Sonam wrote, “I’m going off twitter for a while. It’s just too negative. Peace and love to all!”

On Thursday, Sonam had shut up a troll, who targeted her with allegations saying that the actress was responsible for global warming. To which, Sonam had writted, “And it’s because of men like you that women find it difficult to use public transport for fear of being harassed.

Sonam had faced incessant trolling by the right-wing troll brigade after she extended her support for the campaign seeking justice for the eight-year-old girl, who was gang-raped and murdered inside a temple in Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir. Two BJP minister had later joined a rally called in support of the alleged rapists and murderers of the child.
Sonam, who got married to her boyfriend Anand Ahuja this year, was called ‘Hindu hater’ by her haters, who had even announced to boycott her next film Veere Di Wedding, which went on to become a superhit at the box office. While responding to a question on whether she loved Muslims, she had said, “I love People of all faiths and beliefs! That’s what Hinduism preaches.”
On work front, Sonam Kaporo Ahuja is currently filming for Abhishek Sharma’s The Zoya Factor. She will also be seen with her father Anil Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga soon.
