Fanney Khan featuring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkumar Rao have been receiving plenty of media attention ahead of its scheduled release next month.
While informing about the wrap of the shooting, actor Divya Dutta had tweeted, “And it’s wrap time for me on the ‘Fanney Khan’ sets! Beautiful journey. Anil Kapoor, you are a dream co-star to work with. And will you always look that good??? Thank you my dearest Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for yet another beautiful film… Atul Manjrekar been so much fun working with you.”
Anil had responded, “It’s been a blast working with you Divya. It has been an amazing journey indeed with you playing your role exceptionally in it. Our ‘Fanney Khan’ family would be incomplete without you.”
It then emerged that Anil had taken a formal lesson in playing trumpet for the musical drama Fanney Khan. “The trumpet is an integral part of my character in the film. My character, Fanney, plays it when he is sad or happy. So I had to make it look real. I was excited to learn a new instrument and took lessons from Ramesh Kumar Gurung. It was challenging to emote while using the instrument,” Anil had said.
Now, Sonam Kapoor has shared a teaser photo of her Dad’s film with lines from the track Mere Achche Din Kab Ayenge? In the teaser, Anil is seen drowned in deep thought, as the caption read, “Mere Achche Din Kab Aayenge? (When will my good times come).” The term Achche Din had become quite popular since Narendra Modi used it to promise good times to 125 crore Indians in 2014 Lok Sabha elections after his election as India’s prime minister.
But, even after he became the prime minister, there hasn’t been any sign of achche din with Modi’s political rivals constantly embarrassing him by reminding his 2014 poll promise.
As expected, Sonam’s fans were quick to link Mere Achche Din Kab Aayenge, which are essentially the wordings of the Fanney Khan film, to Modi’s election promise. One user wrote, “Sonam jee, achche din will never come as long Modi is around.” Another wrote, “It won’t come till Modi is here.”
Sonam then followed it up with another poster from Fanne Khan with a quirky message, “Achche din gyaara baje! Coming soon guys! It’s such a moving song about resilience and hope!”
Anil too wasn’t behind when he tweeted with a tongue-in-cheek caption, “Mere #AchcheDin kab aayenge? Yeh sawaal toh har kisi ke mann main hai! Song out today #FanneyKhan.”

Wishing Anil’s new film good luck, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar share the link to the song and wrote, “Namaskar. Anil Kapoor ji ek guni abhineta hain. Mere Anil ji aur Boney ji ke saath bahut acche aur pariwarik sambandh hai,une mata aur pita ji se bhi mere acche sambandh the. Main Anil ji ki nayi film ko bahut shubhkaamanayein deti hun.”
