Disha Patani has arguably been the most talked about Bollywood actress on social media in recent times. The Baaghi 2 actress courted huge controversies in December last year because of her decision to greet Hindus on Diwali by wearing a bra and Christians on Christmas in a bikini.
Disha has now found herself at the centre of incessant trolling because of her ill-fated social media post, aimed at promoting a mobile phone. This was after the actress, who has more than 17 million followers on Instagram, posted ‘brand partnership’ video of herself while promoting a mobile phone. What caught the attention of eagle-eyed social media users was a huge gaffe on her part in her caption. As pointed out by many users, the famous actress had copied the content of message received from the brand owners and pasted it as part of her social media post.
The caption of her video read, “Hey – final video is here. Will mail you the high res video in something so please use that as the final video to be uploaded. Caption below.” Clearly, this was the message that she had received from the agency and wasn’t meant to be a part of her social media post.
After one user highlighted the gaffe, it opened a floodgate of comments mocking Disha. While many called her brainless, others took a dig at her name and twisted it to sound like ‘she has no direction’ in life. One user wrote wrote, “Disha (direction) Pata-Nahi( do not know).”
Here’s how it all started. One user ‘n’ posted the screenshot of Disha’s ill-fated social emdia post on Twitter and wrote, “disha patani is an advertising agency nightmare.”

User Vishesh Arora wrote, “Ctrl C+ Ctrl V isn’t enough to copy. It requires brain too.” User Lowcash Rahul tweeted, “Copy Paste kaise karte hai yeh Disha ko Patani.” Another user Siddharth wrote, “Lol ! She is directionless ( Disha pata-nahi )!”
Disha has since then corrected her gaffe and posted the promotional video again with correct caption. The message below now reads, “I’M SO KICKED. Thanks to the Ultra Wide Camera in Samsung Galaxy M Series, I can go as wide with my yoga poses as I want and take the complete picture. Want to know more? Go to @samsungindia and click on the link in their bio to get notified. Launch announcement on the 28th Jan on Amazon at 6PM. Stay tuned.”

On professional front, Disha will next be seen in Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, which will be released during Eid this year.
