Bollywood actress Disha Patani has dropped a bombshell saying that she may never work with Salman Khan because of the age difference between the two. While Disha is believed to be in her mid 20s, Salman is well past his 50. The duo will be seen together in the much-awaited film Bharat, where Disha is playing the role of a trapeze artist in a circus.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Disha said, “Honestly, I don’t know if I will ever get to work with Salman sir again. Even Ali (Director Ali Abbas Zafar) sir told me this while narrating the script.” When asked for a reason, the Baaghi 2 actor revealed that this was because of the age gap between the two.
She said, “Obviously because of the age difference between us. In Bharat, it is acceptable because that portion shows Salman sir in his 20s and 30s so, it was an immediate yes. He is a wonderful human being and very hard-working. I got to learn a lot from him. That aside, Bharat is special because I had never done a film set in a different era.”
Disha revealed that she was originally roped in for Bharat for a cameo role. “Ali sir called me with a role which is more of a special appearance. I heard him out and since the character is that of a trapeze artiste alongside Salman sir, I came on board,” she added.
Disha has already started shooting for Malang with Aditya Roy Kapur, with whom she is believed to have shot an underwater action sequence. She said that Malang was an action thriller and she had been shooting non-stop since March.
As for Baaghi 3, Disha candidly admitted that she wouldn’t have any role to play in the film since Baaghi franchise was all about her reported boyfriend Tiger Shroff adding that her character had died in Baaghi 2 ‘anyway.’
After Malang, she will also be shooting for a comedy film directed by Anees Bazmi.
Bharat will hit cinemas on 6 June coinciding Eid. The song Slow Motion featuring Disha in sexy yellow sari and Salman has become a top chart-buster with more than 66 million views already recorded on YouTube.
