Dipika Kakakr Ibrahim has won the Bigg Boss 12 season beating her so-called brother Sreesanth for the title. Dipika’s name was announced by Salman Khan. But Janta Ka Reporter was the first to report about the winner.

In the Grand Finale episode, Karanvir Bohra became the first finalist to leave the show, leaving Sreesanth, Dipika Kakar, Deepak Thakur and Romil Chaudhary to remain in the show.

This was brought down to just three after Rohit Shetty entered the house to announce the elimination of Romil Chaudhary in a dramatic fashion. Rohit Shetty was also there to promote his upcoming reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, which replaces the slot currently occupied by Bigg Boss. Shetty has already shot the episode in Argentina.

Deepak was given a choice to pick a suitcase with Rs 20 lakh and leave the race for the Bigg Boss title. He chose to collect the money over the reality show’s title. Deepak said that he did not regret his decision because he needed this money to have his sister married off. Salman revealed that Deepak had received the least number of votes among the top three contestants. Thw winner of the show will have Rs 20 deducted from the final prize money.

In the Grand Finale show, each finalist was seen performing at a popular Bollywood number. While Sreesanth and his ‘best friend’ and so-called sister Dipika danced together, Deepak and Somi Khan were seen recreating their camaraderie through a dance performance.

This season of Bigg Boss was widely condemned for being fixed, after Sreesanth confessed he was brought on the show with promise of special treatment. In one of the leaked video, Sreesanth was heard saying to Dipika, “Aap ko lage ya na lage, aap ko pata hai main yahan kyon hoon? Mujhe preferences ke sth laya gya h show main..Main preference ki wajah se bach raha hu public votes ki wajah se ni. (I don’t know if you are aware or not. But you know why I am here. I’ve been brought on the show with a preference. I’ve been avoiding elimination not because of public votes, but because of this preference.)”

This had led to his merciless trolling as users slammed both the former India cricketer and the Colors TV for allegedly fixing the show and misleading the audience.

This year’s Bigg Boss failed to connect with the audience as its TRP remained at an all time low with the show not even featuring in the list of five top most popular programmes. The show’s host Salman Khan had recently blamed contestant Surbhi Rana for being foul mouthed, which was causing the show’s TRP to fall. Salman had also repeatedly faced the audience’s ire for his alleged biases towards Sreesanth and his ‘special friend’ Dipika. On one occasion, when Salman pretended to give Sreesanth a dressing down, he was put in his place by the former India cricketer, making it clear that he was no ordinary contestant in the show.

Salman and the makers of the show have ignored Sreesanth’s antics but have chosen to admonish other contestants for the same acts. The former India cricketer was abusive, sexist and violent on the show but has faced no action from the makers of Bigg Boss even though the show claims to have zero tolerance towards such shenanigans.
